Estelle and Phoebe? Have they met?

In 1015 (The One Where Estelle dies) Phoebe speaks over the phone with Joe
just as Estelle would. She uses the same specific tone of voise Estelle
has.

But to my knowledge Phobe never met Estelle in the show?
I think that Estelle apears only when she speaks with Joe over the phone or
in her office.

So, how does Phoebe know how Estelle's voice sounds? ;-)

I have no idea if they met, but surely it's possible that Phoebe has
answered the phone (one can even imagine Joey telling Estelle his friend's
phone numbers and to call there if she can't get him directly), and
heared Estelle's voice that way. And if she did answer the phone, it's
easy to imagine Phoebe having an actual conversation with Estelle.

i was gonna say that the whole group met estelle at that play joey was
in but then I remembered that she was on the phone for 24 hours straight
that episode...so yeah

they all went to see Joey in a play. I remember Estelle saying something
about did the girls have representation. I don't recall if Phoebe was there
or not, but it seems likely or at least possible that she would be. I think
this might have been the episode where Ben Stiller appeared as Rachel's
date -- but I'm not positive about that.

yea, it was that episode, but Phoebe wasn't there. She was at Monica
and Rachels on the telephone on hold.

In episode 304, The One With The Metaphorical Tunnel she failed to pass Joey
a message from Estelle about an audition. That's when she heard Estelle's
voice.
